Step back in time on International Archeology Day, Saturday October 15

Have you ever stood above the magnificent views of Douglas County and wondered what it was like when people first roamed these lands? Are you fascinated by archeology and curious about what we can learn from prehistoric artifacts?

Don't miss your chance to see Colorado's rich past firsthand at the 2022 International Day of Archeology Exhibit of Colorado Parks and Wildlife from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 15 at the Roxborough Intermediate School, 7370 Village Circle East in Littleton.

The children's area offers historical handicrafts to touch and grind acorns. Nearby cultural sites offer on-site tours and activities alongside the Expo. These subsidiary sites include Roxborough State Park, Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve, and Ken-Caryl Ranch Bradford II and III sites.

Reservations are required for conferences and most field trips - click here for registration links.

Parking in the vicinity of this opportunity is limited. If you live within walking distance of Roxborough Middle School, we encourage you to take advantage of the Celebration Walk with your friends, family and neighbors if you can.
